Argentina is located on the southern tip of South America and offers tourists a wide variety of travel destinations. Argentina is home to an amazing geographical landscape including glaciers, rainforests, mountains and cities that offer infinite opportunities for exploration and adventure. If you decide to explore Argentina you should bring a selection of clothing that will work in both warn and cool climates. If you are planning to hike or ski in the Andes you will need warm clothing but if you are planning to visit the tropical lowlands you may wish to just pack a few warmer items for the cool nights. Argentina boasts the tallest mountain peak in the Americas; Cerro Aconcagua which stands at 6,960 meters above sea level. Whether you want to hike the Andes in Patagonia or go skiing it makes no difference. The country provides the perfect setting for a vacation full of activities. Mountain resorts are available for skiers and hikers alike and mountain resorts are spread throughout the Andes so you can choose the resort that suits your needs best easily. If you choose to hike in a non-resort area make sure you have a guide to show you the ropes of hiking in the Andes since it is easy to get lost or trapped in unsafe conditions. If you are in the mood for city life Buenos Aires is a fabulous city to spend your vacation in. Buenos Aires is a modern city that offers shopping, cultural events and historical museums that offer a look into life in Argentina. Buenos Aires has a population of over 10 million people and has a warm, rainy climate. The main language spoken in Buenos Aires is Spanish a language that many of us are familiar with. Buenos Aires is also home to the Colon Theatre which is world famous for the music performances that take place there. The Colon Theatre presents all different types of music including orchestra performances and opera. You may also visit botanical gardens, zoos and parks that are known around the world for their beauty. No trip to Argentina is complete without a visit to the Los Glaciares National Park located in the Santa Cruz province. You can hike on the glacier on a guided tour as well as view the glacier from a boat that gives you a greater understanding of how enormous the glacier really is. The Los Glaciares National Park is also home to many birds, animals and plants that set Argentina apart from other travel destinations.

With Buenos Aires, Iguazu Falls and Patagonia filling Argentina travel itineraries people often forget to consider visiting the northern part of the country, where you’ll find Salta. Salta is city with a population of half a million people located in the northwestern part of Argentina. It is the eighth largest city in Argentina and with the sheer beauty of the desert region it lies in and the culture and excitement of the city itself, you wouldn’t want to miss it.

Salta is known for having outstanding museums covering a variety of interests. The Iglesia San Francisco is probably the most well-known and with its beautiful facade and the sleek tower it is easy to understand why. The inside of this church is tastefully decorated and the lovely garden has a equally lovely museum filled with religious art and artifacts.

The Anthropology Museum is located on the lower streets of Cerro San Bernardo above the Guemes monument. Here you’ll find many examples of local ceramics, specifically from the Tastil ruins, which is the largest pre-Inca town in Argentina. Admission to the museum costs $2 Argentinean and its open for visits from 8am – 7pm Monday through Friday and from 8am – 1pm and 3pm – 7pm on Saturdays.

The Contemporary Art Museum is another museum worth a visit. It has impressive displays of local artists from Salta as well as the rest of Argentina and the world. This museum changes its high quality exhibits regularly and is the type of place you can visit more than once. Admission is $2 Argentinean is open daily from 9am – 1pm and 5pm – 9pm. It is located in Plaza 9 de Julio in the center of Salta.

Arguably the most famous museum in the whole northern part of Argentina, the Museo de Arqueologia de Alta Montana is a fascinating museum that addresses Inca culture and especially, child sacrifices the Inca people made on certain imposing Andean peaks. A beautiful and captivating exhibit explores this ancient practice where the centerpiece is the mummified remains of a 15-year-old girl, one of three girls that were found at the peak of Llullaillaco Mountain in 1999. The decision to display the body was a very controversial one and the experience of looking at this young body does create a strong impression. The Archeology Museum of Alta Montana is open from 9am – 1pm and 4pm – 9pm and admission is free if you enter between 9 and 10am Tuesday through Friday.

The Museo de Bellas Artes is Salta’s fine art museum, found in the Arias Rengel family’s two-story colonial mansion. The walls are over six feet thick! Many people feel the works displayed here are much more interesting than the in the Contemporary Arts Museum. You’ll find a beautiful sculpture garden and a wooden staircase that leads to a hanging balcony. Full admission is only $1 and the museum is open Monday to Saturday 8:30am – 1pm and 4:30 pm – 8 pm.

Fit Salta and its museums into your Argentina travel itinerary after a visit to Iguazu Falls. A recommended itinerary would include a lengthy stay in Buenos Aires where you will most likely be flying in anyway. From the vibrant capital fly to magnificent and wondrous Iguazu Falls where your jaw will drop at the site of these 275 cascades pushing powerful amounts of water in a deafening roar and pristine setting. From Iguazu you can fly to Salta, to experience the northern culture and sights.

Building a good and trusted name in the medical tourism business will take time and a lot of money of course. After several years, large agencies from all over the globe are filling up the country and some went to the U. S. and European countries to promote and find patients. Plastic Surgery in Argentina has gone through a lot of criticism, same goes to other countries that offer medical vacation services. To compete with the United States health care services is the main goal. Due to the increase of the U. S. and European plastic surgery cost, patients choose the option of undergoing plastic surgery in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and some in Costa Rica. These countries offer extremely affordable plastic surgery cost compared to prices in the US and European countries. The clinics of Buenos Aires’s surgeons began filling up with foreigners soon after the economy imploded and the currency devalued in 2002. As a result, most treatments cost around a third of UK prices. This could save patients of almost 75% of plastic surgery cost on medical procedures. Medical tourism agencies also offers bundle packages with vacation and leisure trips in the destination countries. Hotel accommodations and air flight tickets are also managed by the agency making all appointments and necessary preparations for the patients all inclusive. Medical tourism agencies in Argentina offers affordable gastric bypass surgery, affordable gastric bypass surgery and affordable fertility treatments with rock bottom costs and quality that can compete with the U. S. surgical quality. Savings vary worldwide and by procedure. Broadly, patients can expect rates 25%-75% less than those in the US. Savings for a full mouth restoration can run from $7k to $25k. Savings for a hip replacement range from $30-$50k. Savings for a heart valve replacement range from $20k to $45k. How Good is Plastic Surgery in ArgentinaArgentina offers one of the most preferred affordable plastic surgery in the world. In 2006, Buenos Aires hosted an international symposium on “21st-century plastic surgery”. On the agenda were workshops on third-generation ultrasonic liposuction and periorbital (around the eyes) rejuvenation. Argentinian plastic surgeons have good reason to be so skilled: domestic demand for breast implants, laser surgery and nip-and-tuck treatments is sky high in this style-obsessed country. Medical tourism agencies like offers clinics that have advanced and state of the art medical facilities and equipments and caters only the most experienced and credentialed plastic surgeons for its patients. Patients will find many world class health care centers throughout Buenos, Aires with cost at a fraction of the cost of health care in the U. S. These hospitals offers affordable gastric bypass surgery, affordable dental implants and affordable fertility treatments. Regardless of the type of surgery you are looking for, Buenos Aires can offer it to you at nearly a tenth of what the procedure would cost in the United States. Argentina has a level of excellence in medical care, procedures, treatments and technology which is equal to US and European standards. Combining world class facilities with the natural Argentine warmth in doctor-patient relations, will create an atmosphere that treats patients with human dignity and respect and not as an insurance case number. Unlike many other medical tourism destinations, Buenos Aires is not known for one specific type of surgery, but instead is renowned for having highly skilled surgeons in all areas. Still the most popular type of surgery to have done here is cosmetic surgery, but this does not speak to the abilities of other types of surgeons. Free Vacation after the SurgeryExcellent medical treatment is not the only reason people are looking to Buenos Aires for their next surgery. It also happens to be a fabulous vacation destination and the hospitals take full advantage of this. The packages that can be purchased through medical tourism companies include everything from airport pick up, accommodations, meeting with surgeons beforehand and follow-up care and procedures once they return home. These packages offer patients a worry-free vacation and surgical experience. Patients who have undergone plastic surgery in Argentina usually stays for fortnight. Enough time for recuperation and an awesome vacation and leisure trips in Argentina’s tourists spots. Agencies specializing in international medical travel ( known as health travel planners or medical concierge agencies) are a growing part of the medical travel industry and work with hospitals, clinics, physicians, surgeons, airlines, hotels and recovery retreats abroad to offer patients the best quality at the most affordable rates.

Do not miss the highlight of any trip to Argentina, particularly for keen horse riders . . . . . a trip to a working ranch. www. estanciasargentinas. com will be able to show you a range of prices and ranch types to choose from. They are located on floor 9 of 616 Av. Diag. Pte Roque Saenz Pena, Buenos Aires.

In the North west of Argentina you can scale the Quilmes ruins for fantastic panoramic views and the knowledge that you’ve visited the ancient origins of the tasty national Argentinian beer – Quilmes.

In the north eastern portion of the province of San Juan is Ischigualasto – a UNESCO world heritage site (since 2000). It is a place of extraordinairy beauty as well as for the abundance of flora, forna and fossils of scientific interest. For those who like archaeology this place is worth a visit – it is the only place in the world where you can find the complete geological sequence of sediments from the Triasic period in the Mesozoic Era. Be warned to carry spare fuel if you’re going to try and drive your own car across the national park.

Buenos Aires is one of the worlds most incredible and enticing cities – the cultural heart of Argentina & packed with character at a price which won’t break the bank. This is the 8th biggest city in the world and by far Argentinas richest – it is divided in to 47 neighbourhoods each with their own distinct flavour. The mass of greenery, wide boulevards, plazas and architecture give the city a distinctly European feel and the smells of baking coming from the pattiseries takes you immediately to Italy. The Subte (Underground) is the oldest in South America and connects all the major parts of the city very effectively. 40% of Argentinas population lives in greater BA – the majority are decended from Spanish & Italian immigrants. The spanish spoken here is rhythmically closer to Italian. Make sure you take in the Plaza de Mayo, the gardens of Palermo & Evita museum, the San Telmo antiques market on a sunday, a succulent steak and some tango at one of the cities fantastic restaurants. Make sure you get to a Boca Juniors versus River Plate football match while in BA. If time take the boat across the River Mar de la Plata to Uruguay – hire a car and experience the buzz of Montevideo and the stunning beaches along the coast from Punta de l’este.
