Â

The dance and music of tango is a fusion of the various forms and styles of the immigrants living in Buenos Aires at the time.  In the early 20th century, dancers and orchestras from Buenos Aires travelled to Europe where the first tango craze took place in Paris.  Throughout the 20th century, it travelled all across Europe, the United States and other countries to become the world famous dance it is today. Â

Through Íbero Spanish School, students can study this famous dance while learning Spanish! There is no better way to experience Buenos Aires than through its language and its dance.  The program includes tango tours throughout the city and visits to milangas.  Students can choose the hours of Spanish lessons they want to take per week (10, 20 or 30 hours) as well as the number of tango lessons (1. 5 hours each) they would like to take.

“We have worked very hard and it is starting to become popular to come and study Spanish and Tango here”, says Director Florencia Bozzano.

The instructors, Hector Mayoral and Elsa Maria, are cultural ambassadores of Argentina.  They are recognized around the world for their talent.  They set a record on Broadway for having the most successful tango show from Argentina.  Over the years they had two very successful shows, â??Tango Argentinoâ? and â??Forever Tangoâ?.  They even received a Tony Award for â??Best Choreographyâ? for their show â??Tango Argentinoâ?.  The two have performed for celebrities like Whoopi Goldberg, Frank Sinatra, Robert Duvall and former US President Bill Clinton.

Needless to say, having Mayoral and Elsa Maria as tango instructors is an experience of a lifetime.  Íbero Spanish School is very proud to work with such talented individuals.  Don´t miss this opportunity to study Spanish and learn such a traditional, Argentine dance at the same time through SPANGO! Remember, Argentina is the birthplace of tango and Buenos Aires is its favorite dance floor!

www. iberospanish. com

www. iberotefl. com

Â
